Hi, I’m Jess
I live in a beautiful, sleepy beach town in Southern California with my four kids. I am always thanking God and the universe that I get to bear witness to so many beautiful things.
I’ve spent years feeling a reverence for moments. I know that feeling where you desperately want to hold the moment in front of you close to your heart. Photography is my way of noticing, multiplying all that wonder I feel and being able to return to it out into the world.
I shoot a mix of editorial and documentary style. I shoot on digital, 35mm film, medium format film. I love film and the way it holds so much nostalgia. It’s the best way I have found to paint those feelings I want to give the people I photograph. My work revolves around the stories of the people I photograph. I have a reverence for families and motherhood. Thank you a thousand times over for being here. -xx
